Video calls
An innovative See Who’s Talking solution will enrich daily telephone contacts thanks to the video transmission. Hold conversations via IP videophones or the Platan Video Softphone app not only with your nearest colleagues, but also with those working remotely. See on the videophone or the computer screen who is standing at the gate during an incoming call via an IP video door phone.
Indispensable for video calls
To make video calls you'll need:
- Proxima IP PBX Server or Libra PBX Server with licences for at least 2 VoIP channels and 2 video ports
- Prima IP PBX or Prima nano with licences for at least 2 VoIP channels, 2 VoIP ports and video transmission on these ports – NEW
- free Platan Video Softphone app.
- Internet camera and headphones
- IP videophone (optional)
- IP video door phone (optional) with free Platan Video Viewer app. (to answer the video door phone calls by any phone connected to the PBX and see the camera view on a computer screen).
In order to ensure good quality of calls, the adequate bandwidth should be provided. A single video call requires from 64 kb/s up to even 4 Mb/s in both directions, depending on the codecs and devices used.
